Borut Krzisnik

Borut Krzisnik is an intense and diverse avant-garde post modern classical composer from Slovenia.

Best known as being a composer who writes and produces symphonic music by using the digitally recorded sounds and samples of real instruments to create a virtual orchestra, Krzisnik can be distinguished from so many of his peers through the originality of his ideas and his free approach, moving fluidly between avant-garde or popular, written or improvised, atonality or tonality, underground and academic, abstract or melodic.

Krzisnik has produced a number of acclaimed works for films, dance and theatre, most notably working with celebrated director Peter Greenaway.
