Barry Adamson is the enigmatic genius of soundtrack and soul. Born and raised in Moss Side, Manchester, Adamson was propelled into music through his love of cinematic score and punk explosion of the mid 70's. Initially a member of seminal punk band Magazine and a founding member of NickCave's illustrious Bad Seeds, Barry forged his own highly acclaimed solo career with series of distinctive, deeply personal and thematically linked sound-scape albums and EPs.
Blending a veritable miscellany of musical styles, Adamson’s complex cinematic music has been used in a number of films including ‘Lost Highway’ (dir. David Lynch, 1997), ‘The Beach’ (dir. Danny Boyle, 2000), ‘Natural Born Killers’ (dir. Oliver Stone, 1994) and ‘The Last of England’ (dir. Derek Jarman, 1987).
